Simply Chic

As promised, although a day late, here's my outfit of the day! As always, my entire outfit is from Maurices and it's not just because I get that awesome discount! Maurices clothes fit right, run true to size, are fashionable, and cheaper than most.

I got the colored jeggings in Mushroom, size medium.  Sometimes I'm a large in those but these fit just right!  They are originally $34 but keep your eye out sometimes they drop as low as $19.90 OR buy one, get one 50% off!

My shirt is a white linen tank with a decorative patch pocket and slight v-neck.  This is the most comfortable shirt I have ever worn.  It is easily, hands-down, my favorite shirt right now.  It's so easy to throw on with ANYTHING! It's $29 but tanks go on sale often as well.

The denim vest is from last year, still love it!  It's an awesome piece to top off the outfit and give it a polished look.  Denim vests are $34 also.  If you consider this a splurge, still buy it! Like I said, it's an awesome piece that goes with anything and you will definitely get your money's worth.

The sandals are also one of my new favorite pieces because they're that neutral color but not BLAH.  Look great with anything really. $29, always have BOGO50% on sandals during the summer!

Patterns & Preschoolers

As promised, here is the outfit I wore to preschool graduation last night!

I put a light pink tank underneath to accentuate the pink in the top.  Camis at Maurices are $15.00 - $20.00. Also totally worth it because they last a long time and are comfortable!

I paired silver strappy sandals to accent the silver jewelry I was wearing.

I have really been stepping out of my box to add pattern into my closet this summer. I encourage you to do the same! (It's fun!)

Stripes and Paisley

Mixing patterns is a scary thing! It's hard to know do I mix polka dots with stripes? Stripes with polka dots? It's so confusing!  One thing to keep in mind: neutral colors in any type of pattern can be mixed with bold patterns.

I paired a white tee with navy stripes with a red, white, and blue paisley print kimono.  It was out of my comfort zone but I just went with it and rocked it! All my co-workers LOVED it!
It's normal to be nervous at first but if you wear it with confidence, it will look great!
